Hi,

Thanks.  Unfortunately(!) I'm using ML - in particular, Standard ML with
the mlton compiler (which has no top level loop).  It turns out that there
is a Joy interpreter written in SML, although it uses the parser generator
from SML/NJ.  As far as I can tell it's the *only* scripting language
written in SML, which surprised me (I googled and asked on
comp.lang.functional) (although I think ML (OCaml) and Lua are used
together in C--).
