The following caches the value returned, but allows the value to be
re-calculated if force is set to true.  This gives you a nice way of expiring
particular values using a simple boolean flag in the call.

    @CacheEvict(value = "coverages", 
                key = "{#network, #start, #end, #metricName}", 
                condition = "#force", beforeInvocation = true)
    @Cacheable(value = "coverages", 
               key = "{#network, #start, #end, #metricName}")
    public Coverage generate(final String network,
                             final Timestamp start,
                             final Timestamp end,
                             final String metricName,
                             final boolean force) {
         ....
    }
