[Food, Review] La Fabbrica - Good Italian Food In Santiago

After months of disappointing restaurants this was a real surprise.
Good food, unpretentious surroundings, great service and reasonable
prices. It's also the new home of the Santiago Jazz Club.

I'm no expert on Italian food, but this was recommended (I later found
out) by the Italian husband of a friend of Paulina's - he's taken his
parents there when they visit Chile. And what I ordered - the Pizza
Caponata was sufficiently unlike any other pizza I've eaten in Chile
that it's either a genuine dish or simply inspired. Either way, it's
worth eating.

And the service: Just some young guy, but he actually spoke to me. He
wasn't embarassed to be dealing with a gringo. He didn't speak in
baby talk. He didn't address all the questions to Paulina. What a
refreshing change!
