## It Pays to Review Books!

Since my review was published in Slashdot I've been contacted by two book
companies (O'Reilly and Addison-Wesley) to see if I wanted to review more.
They both offered anything from their recent releases (the AW person
seems to actually have researched me a little on the 'net and offered
recommendations, which I thought was a nice touch).

O'Reilly didn't have anything *really* interesting (there was one on BSD
rootkits, which I wondered about, but then I did a search and found it on
a torrent(! I just clicked on the web link and ktorrent started up and
let me share much, but perhaps it did) and while it looks like a good
book, it was too hands on (to give a good review I would have had to
install BSD in a virtual machine and run code, I think)).

AW weren't that great either (I searched around and they last published
Lisp or Smalltalk books ages ago...), but there was Alastair Cockburn's
latest, which I *should* read, and which I would probably never think of
buying myself, so I went with that. I have no idea if Slashdot will
publish what I write. We'll see...
