Anonymous Pro - Better than Schumacher?!

From: andrew cooke <andrew@...>

I use the schumacher font a lot on my computer - a fixed width font is
critical in programming (IMHO) and schumacher is legible and has
"real" lower case "a" (without that funny squiggle).

But I just stumbled across this -
http://www.ms-studio.com/FontSales/anonymouspro.html - and it looks
like it may be better, because schumacher is bitmap only, while this
can be used all over the place.

Now I need to work out how to install it on Linux.

Schumacher > Anonymous Pro

It's easy to load new fonts, at least in opensuse/KDE - the
ConfigureDesktop dialog has a font manager that will import the files
in the unzipped download.

However, Anonymous Pro didn't look as good as Schumacher. Partly
because they weren't that readable (I cannot work out how to force the
use of the bitmapped font in Eclipse; in konsole which I assume does
use the bitmaps, it's still ugly and hard to read) and partly because
I was mistaken about the lower case "a" - it does have the extra
squiggle.

So schumacher remains.
