A few months ago I decided I better spend more of my money on good.  I donated
to EFF, who sent me a very nice lapel pin; joined the British Humanist
association (still waiting for my free swag!); and signed up for Index on
Censorship.  That's a terribly middle-class-liberal list, I know.

The first copy of Index arrived today - it's a smaller format than I recall
(as I remember Granta or NLR - wasn't this more magazine size?) but I'm not
complaining - it looks beautiful, and, when I sneaked a read while working,
the content was as awesome as expected ("day follows day follows day" had me i
tears).

Anyways, it came with details of a reduced offer price (celebrating 40 years).
